SNES Controller Part 1: Bluetooth
So,
I have been emulating SNES games since my early teens. First on keyboard, but this wasn't very good, so I convinced my parents that I needed a controller. After a few weeks of hassling I ended up getting a $20 bargain bin Logitech controller. Not to say it wasn't good, but it wasn't not bad. Harsh on the hands, completely digital input apart from the 2 analogue sticks, very run of the mill. Eventually I upgraded from this to an Xbox 360 Wireless controller + Wireless receiver. After waiting several weeks for these two items to come, courtesy of the Hong-Kong postal system, I was pleased with my purchase. It automatically works in most console ports, and works well with emulators.
Unfortunately the D-pad is a steaming pile of shit.
Installing experimental nVidia drivers on Debian stable
So I installed Debian today, 6.0.3 stable. After the initial install process I went about installing drivers for my nvidia graphics card but to my dismay the drivers in the stable repositories were about a year old, version 195.36.31. To rectify this I decided I would challenge myself a bit and install from the experimental repos (without breaking my system or upgrading the entire thing to experimental.)
So…
So.. I finally put crap on my wesbite, woo. This blog will mostly be about modding, guides & whatnot.
Fairly boring, but whatever. Be sure to check back every so often
